Weekly Blog Post

My favorite thing discussed in class this week was the Food Projects for many reasons. 

For starters, the food was awesome, and there is nothing better than dessert at twelve o'clock.  There were all type of foods and I was a bit overwhelmed by all the various options. My favorite food was probably the cannolis or David's pasta sauce. I enjoyed comparing my families sauce recipe to David's. Another reason I liked this project was I learned a lot about my families history. I talked to my family and learned the types of food they ate when they were younger, and the traditions they hold today. Also, I got to spend time with my mom cooking which is always a pleasure. We listened to music, shared stories and baked up some pizzelle cookies. The time I spent cooking with my mom was special and fun because we were working on a school project but having fun. The last reason I liked the project was listening to my classmates stories. Everyone has a family tradition to share and some awesome food to go along with it.  I liked hearing the different stories because I did not know much about these people. It was fun learning more about these people because I didn't know the traditions. All in all it was a fun project because everyone loves food, and learning about other peoples traditions and loves for food made me happy.
