Favorite Place

In our last class on Tuesday, we discussed several topics however the most interesting topic was when we discussed our favorite places and what they meant to us. During the discussion, we shared our experiences and I noticed that all of us have very much in common, most of the time even what we think that makes us different, that makes us similar to each other.
We share the same needs, and more importantly the same feelings. I chose to write about my home country Cape Verde because it is where I was born and raised.  Imagine that you are in a new country where the lifestyle is totally different?
I cannot describe how much the Cape Verde means to me, especially the ocean, the waves, the sand, the sun and everything about it just connects with me. So many of my best childhood memories are centered in Cape Verde, surrounded by all my favorite people and things.
My grandma house was the favorite place that I always wanted to spend time because especially on vacation during summer. My grandma’s house is my favorite place in the world to go. When I’m at my grandma’s house there is always something to do, My grandma’s house is a welcoming place and is a fun place to go. At my grandma’s there are always a lot of people
What I realized when we were discussing our favorite place in class is that all of us had something in common, because even though we all have a different place in mind, and we shared different places, I noticed that we all are connected somehow because of our family.

  1. I think it's amazing how much you value your home country of Cape Verde while still being exposed to life in the United States. I feel that sometimes people forget where they come from, but it is important to always have that special place in mind.
