This blog represents the work of my English 102 course at Bridgewater State University. The blog posts reflect not only the readings, but also the students' reflection and critique of the ideas presented. We will discuss and write about the environmental issues surrounding the use of pesticides, as well as the consequences of our current agricultural practices and policies and the moral, ethical, social, and economical implications of these practices.

The Three Sisters
Robin Wall Kimmerer Compares the three sister plants like they are human beings. The three sister plants are beans, corn, and squash. They work together so they each benefit from one another. I can relate to this because I have two younger brothers named Matthew and Randy. Matthew is sixteen and Randy is 14. We are similar to the three plant sisters because we work together so we can get things done around the house quicker. I do a certain chore then Matthew does something different and then Randy does something else. the only difference between us are we are brothers not sisters. We work together to get all the chores we have to do around the house done very quickly so we have time to do whatever we would all like to do. Now despite us working together as a team we all have different characteristics. For example I am athletic and hardworking. Matthew is creative and good with school work. And Randy is kind and good with memorizing certain things. We all have different qualities just like the beans, squash, and corn, But together they benefit one another in a certain way.
