This week we talked a little bit of storytelling. Talking about how it is a way for people to connect to each other and see what they have in common. This can go for family member or anyone in a community. One way we talked about families connecting is when they hear stories about what their parents were like when they were their age. I can relate to this because I do this at family parties when I hear stories of my dad and his brother playing hockey and things like that. Also in both book they share person stories in Braiding sweetgrass she talks about her family in the woods.
    We also talked about how it can connect communities to become closer. I think that we can see this a lot. Both in the world today and also the books that we read in class. Like the creation stories that were in “Braiding Sweetgrass”. It is also seen in our society today, a lot of movements have people share stories for people to join them. Stories are also shared on social media a lot. People share their stories about job experiences, interactions with people and pretty much everything.
