Not everybody can be satisfied.

       Talking about the Standing Rock Reservation situation really gave me an opportunity to look into it myself and build an opinion on it. Living in a country like the one we do, is about trying to weigh out pro's and con's in decisions  that affect us all, in hopes to satisfy the most amount of people as possible. Not once in the entire history of The United States of America, or even possibly the entire world, has there been a decision that has pleased 100% of the population. Of course when you hear the information from the Reservation's standpoint, you feel as if they are correct, and it is not right for the Government to barge in and build something that can hurt the preserved land, but at the same time when you look at it from the Government's point of view, they have their reasons as to why they want to put it there, At the end of the day, you have the right to your own opinion and the ability to voice it.
      I do not oppose to the Standing Rock Protests, because as an American citizen, i am aware that all protests are practices of our rights as citizens in this country. I believe that the Government should find a new area to build a pipeline, but if they decide to build it at Standing Rock, i will have to understand that the opposing opinion outweighed the other, and that most feel this is better for our country. Either way this is just another example of the troubles that come with a democracy, not everyone gets their ways, for ass the population is not one specific opinion. Everyone will have their own thoughts and feelings towards everything, but to live in a country like this one we have to come together and do whats best for the country disregarding personal beliefs.
   
      I am not personally affected by the building of the pipeline, which may leave my opinion biased, as i might not protest or go out of my way to make a change for a belief, but when i have issues or opinions that i feel strongly about, and decide to go out of my way to make a change, i understand the process of democracy and choice making. Standing Rock isnt the end of the world, for the rest of time their will be decisions like this made, and no matter what some will be angry, some will be satisfied.
