This week we finished up “Braiding Sweetgrass” and started “Eating the landscape”.

During one of our classes this week we made  dolls out of corn husk. I thought that this was a really cool activity because it is something that is from the environment that we could use for our entertainment. I also thought it was interesting that a lot of indigenous people do things like this. I thought that it connected well to the story and the creation story about the crow since in the book the author uses a lot of creation stories. It was a good activity because it showed us that we can use the environment in ways that we do not always think of right away.
