This blog represents the work of my English 102 course at Bridgewater State University. The blog posts reflect not only the readings, but also the students' reflection and critique of the ideas presented. We will discuss and write about the environmental issues surrounding the use of pesticides, as well as the consequences of our current agricultural practices and policies and the moral, ethical, social, and economical implications of these practices.

This week we have been going over mankind's connection with nature. The majority of it was one sided because of the amount of resources we take from mother nature. people cut down the tress for lumber, people mine for coal, gold, silver and etc. mother nature doesn't take anything from us unless you count natural disasters. In the gift of strawberries, they talk about how wild strawberries are supposed to be a gift only, and should not be picked to be sold to others. The reason why it should only be a gift was because mother earth grew that for people to share and gift to one another. A commodity is what is sold because you can get it in any store. But people take resources from mother earth to create products to sell to others in stores. whether it be a grocery store or a toy store. People are taking to many resources to quickly, because it takes a long time for mother earth to reproduce those resources. I thought this was one of the important topics we went over during our class discussions this week.

I like how David talked about how man has taken so much from the earth and gave in return. He expresses why the gift of life should be a gift and taken carefully and that is true about the land too. He talks about how we use resources quick quick quick but we don't regain them as fast as we think. I like this blog because it shows how man is a destruction to himself
