Meeting Robin Kimmerer

Thought we have passed on from that book and we are almost done with the semester, this past week I had the privilege to sit down and meet the author of Braiding Sweetgrass. She shared so much with us and opened up about her teachings and her ways even more than the book had. It felt kind of weird in a way to talk to someone who you know so much about and they know nothing about you but it was such a cool experience.
As we talked, Robin asked us if we had any questions and I had one that I wanted to ask. I asked her "as an author, mother, scientist, professor, and a member of the Potawatomi culture, what has she enjoyed the most?" expecting an answer of just one of the options, Robin couldn't pick just one as they are all so important to her. She told me that what she enjoyed most was having the freedom to be involved in so much.
