Our Places

In class when we all shared a place that had meaning to us, I noticed something that I thought was interesting. It seemed like all of these places have shaped us in some way. The experience(s) and memories that the places we chose held, have contributed to who we are now. Many of the places people talked about were places where they got to spend time with family and a lot can be learned from family. I feel like it is also easier to remember the time spent with family when there is one special place where people stay with their family. I love the holidays because I go to my dad’s uncle’s house and the whole family gets together. There are so many moments from over the years to laugh about that happened at that house There are also other places that carry a lot of meaning. I chose to talk about my high school in the paper because I think my particular high school helped me to be open-minded and accepting. I think the reason that places are able to hold significance to us is because of how these places have helped us grow and learn.
