DDT

After watching the film of farmers spraying a huge amount of DDT on plants and, fruits and vegetables I was in total shock. Before knowing what these things can do to our environment, plants and bodies. These things do not just come to existence, they travel through insects, then once an animal eats an insect, later on the animal will be diagnosed with DDT. What humans mostly rely on for protein are the meats from the animals which may or may not carry DDT.

Not only do they affect the plants animals but it affects our heavenly earth. The air we breathe is the air we rely on, but if farmers contaminate the air with such toxins then we will have mutations in our bodies. Not only will it just affect one person but it highly impacts the person's eggs or sperm, which then passes on to their children. What people do not realize are implications these may have on humans, plants,animals or any living thing on earth. Toxins we may not think has an impact today, may accumulate and form deadly diseases. As of today humans need to take precaution by any means. Rachel Carson, along with other references she mentioned, raises awareness as to why humans should better take care of the earth and living organisms.
