Humans are landscape too

After reading Interior and Exterior Landscapes, it demonstrated how we as humans are also part of the nature and the landscape around us. We take a part in being part of it's overall beauty and a part of making it a whole. It exhibited how we aren't separate from nature and that we are too a part of it. Silko stated, "We're no different than the boulders beneath our feet." This quote explores the fact that we are a part of the nature around us and we are just as much a part of it as the boulders around us.

Another one of the main arguments explored was how we shouldn't take anything for granted. Just as stated by Silko, the hunter uses every part of the animal, even the blood. The earth gave the hunter the luxury of animals and because of that, we shouldn't take any part of taking that for granted. This argument shows us that you can't take anything from this world for granted because it wasn't put here for us to not use properly. After noticing how many different things can easily be taken for granted, it shows you that there's so many things on this earth that we do which we shouldn't. It's about time that we look at this earth as a gift and the things that were put on here. The earth is slowly vanishing and we need to make it stop before it begins to get more out of hand.

  1. Reading your post, I completely agree. We shouldn't be taking the earth for granted and it is slowly vanishing because of the majority of the humans on this earth. Although people like to try to separate from nature , we are a part of it, and without it we wouldn't survive. Elements like water and soil are the reasons why we have food and why we have material to build homes.
