Confusion About Food & The anxiety of Eating
“You know when people say ‘natural food’ I don’t know what they mean anymore”
I liked this quote because it really got me thinking for a minute. Here, Fukuoka talks about how most people say that healthy eating is eating natural food, but everyone really have their own way of describing food as natural food. This got me thinking on how everytime when I go grocery shopping with my big sister, Kristeva, she always tell me to pick food that doesn’t contain no artificial chemicals, and how to her she feels like it’s the natural food, but my mom always argue that eating food as they are found in nature is the natural diet. I have never really spent a lot of time on it, but now reading this got me thinking of what nature food really is, but at the end I feel like it really depends on a person how she grow up thinking and viewing things.
To me, I see food that doesn’t contain artificial chemicals as food that’s found in nature that people just prepared and washed, so I don’t really know what to think as a natural food or as natural diet.
