This week while reading "Foolishness Comes out Looking Smart," in the book The One Straw Revolution by Masanobu Fukuoka I found many things I related with. Going camping at least twice a year, every year, you find how to appreciate the simple life that being in nature brings you. When Fukuoka said, " The tragedy is that in their unfounded arrogance, people attempt to bend nature to their will. Human beings can destroy natural forms, but they cannot create them"(page 154), this reminded me of camping. People try to change and view nature as something that it is not, and just appreciating it for what it is, is what matters the most. As the author said you cannot change natural forms and just have to let it be. When I go camping, I always try to take walks around the campsite to see the beautiful sights nature has created. All the trees, flowers, animals, everything that makes up nature is precious and should not be destroyed or altered with. By just accepting nature how it is and making your own experience out of it without damaging it, is how to get the most out of it.
