This blog represents the work of my English 102 course at Bridgewater State University. The blog posts reflect not only the readings, but also the students' reflection and critique of the ideas presented. We will discuss and write about the environmental issues surrounding the use of pesticides, as well as the consequences of our current agricultural practices and policies and the moral, ethical, social, and economical implications of these practices.

After reading and listening to the first couple chapters in “The Omnivore's Dilemma“ I was quite interested in the facts that was said. I knew corn was good for you, but not when it is mixed up with everything we eat. Now that I am reading these books with the rest of my classmates, I am becoming more picky with I what I eat. Even junk food, I tend to make a face and totally disregard the question when someone suggests we go out for food. I am a skinny girl, I almost never looked at how many calories are in this or whatever I may be eating. But to know that a milkshake has more corn than fast food kills me. As I am reading these chapters I am starting to withdraw from eating certain foods, makes me want to go out and workout. Get back in shape because these fatty foods probably may still be sitting in my internal organs.
